It`s always easier to say you will do something than actual doing it. Same is going out of rotting and survival modus into working for your dreams and feeling productive. First step to exit your lazy girl era is shifting your mindset and then going into action. Stop telling yourself you`re lazy, not consistent or you will never get your dreams. Those phrases are all limiting yourself and you will never overcome it. In my experience negative talking will stop you doing the things you want to do and getting faster into rotting and lazy girl era. But anyways thinking positive about yourself will set into a more positive mindset. A positive mindset will get your dreams.
First: Start a fresh Era
First of all when you come to the realisation you want to change start fresh. Get up, pick out nice clothes and put yourself into the shower or batgh. Wash away the gross and bad feelings you have all day long. Trust me it workes und you will feel better.
Next go and work on your mindset. Create a vision how your future self looks like. This is a quite personal task but its worth. YOu create your own vision where you can stick to. I
m going to share my answers so you can see how it works.
- What does she do?
- Where does she go
- What does her routine look like
- What`s her mindset
With Pinterest you can create your individual Vision Boards. Vision boards are powerful for visualizing and achieving goals. By displaying your desires and dreams on a board, you create a clear, visual reminder that motivates and inspires you daily. Studies show that visualization techniques like vision boards activate the subconscious mind, helping you to pursue your goals more focused and consistently. They also promote positive thought patterns and strengthen your confidence in your abilities.
Put your vision board as screen locker or laptop screen alays accesible and you have a daily reminder. I serach specific in pinterest and have here my board. For creating a screen I`m using canva.
Second: SMALL CHANGES
Small changes lead to significant improvements over time. Start by incorporating tiny habits into your daily routine, such as drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning or taking a short walk during your lunch break. The key ist starting SMALL! Lets be real, its so hard to stick to new habbits and it
s quite overhelming when you have a big habit change, want to do it daily and youre dissappointen when you
re not reaching it.
The book Atomic Habit points out the “simple” method of habit stacking.Habit stacking involves linking a new habit to an existing one to make it easier to adopt. By associating the new behavior with a routine already ingrained in your daily life, you create a trigger that reinforces the new habit. This method leverages established habits to build new, positive behaviors more effectively.
For example I started with drinking a glass of water to every coffee I consume. Fast forward I drink more water now and less coffee and it made me feel good. Another example I have several months now a sleep mode at my phone but as still after that on tiktok, instagram and so on. I decided as soon sleep mode goes on I start with journaling and reviewing my day. Major change, I`m not that often on my phone at night. And well I guess a good evening routine will set you for the next day.
Strong Morning Routine
Having a solid morning routine is super important for getting your day off to a good start. It gives you a sense of purpose and control, which can really boost your productivity and overall well-being. By sticking to consistent morning habits, you set up a structured environment that makes it easier to hit your goals and keep a positive mindset all day long.
You will hear it everywhere, stand up at 5am, Use the morning hours to be productive, get the most done at the beginning of the day. Lets be real, when you can
t handle waking up that early you will feel shitty all day long. And trust me it`s not going to be easier.
I decided to choose a comfortable but uncomfortable hour to wake up and have something from my morning. So it`s 6am. Still early but I get my stuff done that I want to do in mornings.
Kick off your lazy feelings
Laziness can feel like an invisible weight making it tough to get things done. It This feeling usually comes with some guilt or frustration because you know what needs to be done but just can’t muster the willpower. Over time, this can lead to a cycle of putting things off and beating yourself up, which only makes it harder to snap out of it. I saw changes when I etablished time management and a clean surrounding. Both gives me a productive feeling and setting myself into a positive state I`m not going to switch off directly.
Keeping a time management System for you will prevent procrastianiotn. But keep in mind start slow and build up. Its the same like building a habit. One favorite of mine is time blocking and working with a simple Kanban board. Once a week I review what happend and plan out the next week. Once a month there will be a monthly review. And so on. It helps to stay in touch and you will make your tasks in the given blocks. When an idea cross your mind take a note on your phone or calender and work it off in your time box. I like to do it before work so my head is free but it`s up to you and your daily shedule.
Another thing too keep of the feeling is having a clean environment. Trust me Ive been a rat girl kind of my whole life till this summer. I felt so often so sluggish and unmotivatet with my messy room. I startet this year first to keep my desk and work environment clean, then the rest of my office and now Im working on the whole flat. Such a clean environment makes so much for your mood.
Importance of Sleep
Getting enough sleep is super important for your health and overall well-being. It helps your body fix itself, keeps your brain working well, and helps manage your mood and stress. Good sleep is key for things like remembering stuff, solving problems, and making decisions. When you sleep well regularly, it can boost your immune system, sharpen your mind, and make it easier to handle everyday challenges.
Improving your sleep can have a significant impact on your overall well-being. Here are some tips to help you get better rest:
- Stick to a Sleep Schedule: Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your body’s internal clock.
- Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Engage in calming activities before bed, such as reading, taking a warm bath, or practicing meditation. Avoid screens and bright lights.
- Make Your Sleep Environment Comfortable: Ensure your bedroom is cool, quiet, and dark. Invest in a comfortable mattress and pillows.
- Limit Caffeine and Heavy Meals: Avoid consuming caffeine and heavy, rich foods several hours before bedtime. These can disrupt your sleep.
- Exercise Regularly: Regular physical activity can help you fall asleep faster and enjoy deeper sleep. However, avoid vigorous exercise close to bedtime.
- Manage Stress: Practice stress-reducing techniques such as deep breathing, yoga, or keeping a journal to clear your mind before bed.
- Limit Naps: If you must nap, keep it short (20-30 minutes) and avoid napping late in the day to prevent it from interfering with nighttime sleep.
- Exposure to Daylight: Spend time outside during the day to help regulate your sleep-wake cycle. Natural light exposure can improve your sleep quality.
- Avoid Alcohol and Nicotine: Both can disrupt sleep patterns. It’s best to avoid them, especially before bed.
- Consult a Healthcare Professional: If you continue to have trouble sleeping, it may be helpful to consult a healthcare provider for additional advice and potential treatments.
Sit down and don’t let fear jomo
Sit back and don’t let fear run the show; instead, enjoy the joy of missing out (JOMO). In a world focused on constant hustle and endless opportunities, it’s easy to get caught up in the fear of missing out (FOMO), leading to stress and burnout.
But what if we turned things around? By choosing to sit back, unplug, and stop trying to be everywhere at once, we can find peace in being still. JOMO is about enjoying the present moment, taking care of ourselves, and realizing that it’s totally fine to miss out on what everyone else is doing. It’s in these moments of chill time that we often find joy and feeling the connection in us.
Sit down and don’t let fear dictate your choices; instead, embrace JOMO as a powerful antidote to the relentless pace of modern life. We often feel pressured to keep up with every trend, attend every event, and seize every opportunity, fearing that if we don’t, we’ll fall behind or miss something crucial. Let me say something: you don’t miss anything.
Yes it is fun to go out and it’s fun to see al friends but in the end it’s the same just different setting. It’s good to see friends, family and co. but trust me it’s also nice to use time for yourself. This constant chase can lead to overwhelming stress, anxiety, and a sense of perpetual dissatisfaction.
When we allow ourselves to slow down, disconnect, and enjoy the present moment without the pressure to be everywhere and do everything, we often discover a deeper sense of fulfillment and creativity. JOMO is not about isolating ourselves but about being selective, mindful, and intentional with our time and energy. So sit down, breathe, and let go of the fear. There’s joy in missing out, and it’s waiting for you.
How to exit lazy girl Era finally?
Well above there all tips. In the end it’s what you make out of it. Everyone feel ‘lazy girl’ different. Everyone feel productivity and using time efficient differently. Don’t compare to others its all about you. Take your time out of the hectic life and be present to pursue your dreams.
